MRL AT THE 2007 REGIONALS
Congratulations to Sockers FC Chicago (IL-Boys Under 14) and ELA Elite (IL-Girls Under 15)in capturing Region II Championships in their respective age groups and heading to Nationals. These were 2 of the 20 MRL Wild Card representatives at the 2007 Regionals. A total of 113 teams who played in the MRL this past year competed in the U14 through U18 age groups at the Regionals. The remaining teams (those who did not compete in the MRL) combined for a 23-99-19 record in group play further proving that MRL competition is the best in the Midwest. The 20 MRL Wild Cards combined for a 35-15-10 record in group play, Eight MRL Wild Cards reached the semi-final round with two capturing Regional titles and three grabbing second place finishes.
